How To Get Kids To Camp: Eliminating The Five Excuses

Most of us are convinced there are few better ways to introduce our friends to the Gospel than at Young Life camp.

Most of us are also currently discouraged because many of our friends will not get that chance this summer.

Why not?  Why are kids not going to camp?

Over the years I continue to hear five main reasons why my high school friends say they can't go to camp.

The Five Excuses
In a majority of cases, we can help eliminate these excuses.
Last year we published a series of posts sharing some practical ways to do that.  You can link to those posts above and also download a PDF of the compiled version here.  Feel free to make copies and share it with other leaders in your area.

  1. Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance
from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own
blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Cheers

  2. I have heard every single one of these excuses...and probably more! Usually I just give up and feel defeated. These are awesome ways to combat the excuses that kids come up with to not go to camp. Thanks for this post!!

  3. Programs that help kids to develop leadership skills are important. Kids don't necessarily learn those skills at home and there is no guarantee that their school will have the necessary resources to develop those skills either.

Often, the children who go on to become leaders in society receive support form various avenues. They grow in their church or their local drama group or as part of the environmental club and they learn important skills that help boost their confidence.

  4. I loved the list very interesting and i got to learn alot keep it up
